Recognising his honesty and integrity, the Dubai Tourist Police Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation has honoured the taxi driver, and here’s all about it.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Abdul Rahman, who is the Director of the Tourist Police Department, recently honoured a driver, Geoffrey Ezra Amos. As revealed in a report of Gulf Today, this was done to recognise the driver’s honesty and dedication towards returning the money before the tourist could miss his flight.
What Really Happened?
This incident happened when a tourist was rushing to catch a flight. He forgot a small bag, which contained cash and personal belongings, in the taxi. Once the driver realised the tourist’s loss, he immediately contacted the Tourist Police Department for assistance. Therefore, the items were retrieved in time before the tourists could depart from the city.

The Tourist Police Quickly Swung Into Action
The tourist police had quickly swung into action. They identified the driver and contacted him. After this, the driver confirmed the bag was in the vehicle and promptly returned to the airport, handing over the money to the police. The police returned the cash to the relieved tourist. The tourist left praising the honesty and safety in Dubai.
And this recognition given to the driver shows how these little acts make Dubai safer for people, no matter whether they are residents or tourists.
