A prison education programme in Ras Al Khaimah has earned global recognition after being featured by the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning. Launched in 2011 by Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research, it includes a library with 9,000+ books, reading spaces, and counselling facilities, positioning it as a strong model for rehabilitation through learning.

4. UAE Now Has A Digital Platform To Detect Date-Palm Varieties

The UAE has set up a new AI-powered platform to keep an eye on and protect its date palm types. The Zayed For Good Foundation, the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, and the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority all helped build the system that keeps track of the genetic diversity in the whole country. Its goal is to protect the history of farming while also encouraging long-term sustainability in a very traditional field.
