The retailer has reopened its redesigned Market Hall after expanding the space by around 1,000 square metres. The area now covers 6,100 square metres and includes themed sections, interactive displays and AI-powered support to help shoppers find products more easily.
2. Saudi Arabia’s New Airline Finally Takes To The Skies With First London Flight
Saudi Arabia’s newest airline has officially entered service. Riyadh Air launched its first commercial flight this week, with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner departing Riyadh for London. The launch has been a long time coming after several delays, but the airline is now finally in the air.
3. Qatar Diners Gain A New 24-Hour Spot For Pakistani And Indian Favourites
Popular restaurant chain Al Qaim has expanded with a new branch in Al Matar Al Qadeem. The restaurant already has a loyal following from its Al Wakra location, and the latest outlet is hoping to build on that success. Open around the clock, it serves a mix of Pakistani and Indian dishes, including biryani, kebabs and traditional breakfasts.
4. Dubai Government Employees Begin Using New AI Tool For Daily Tasks
Dubai has introduced a new internal AI platform called Eqamh GPT. Developed by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs, the tool helps employees with everyday tasks such as drafting content, summarising information and answering questions.

5. Students And Workers Prepare For A Three-Day Islamic New Year Weekend
Schools, universities and early learning centres across Dubai will close on Monday, June 15, for the Islamic New Year holiday. The break also applies to many public and private sector employees, giving residents a three-day weekend before normal operations resume on Tuesday, June 16.
