Attestation always means long queues, couriers, and days of waiting for a single stamp. So it’s genuinely good news when the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that its attestation service for educational certificates and related documents is now fully digital. That’s not all! Now, the applications are processed in just 2 hours during official working hours.
Need Your UAE Educational Certificates Attested Fast? It Now Takes Just 2 Hours!
The ministry says the service is built to support students and graduates specifically, speeding up the processing of educational documents. Also, it simplifies access through its official website and smart app. It’s actively inviting 2025–2026 academic year graduates who want to use the service to submit their applications online.
The coverage is fairly broad. It includes certificates issued under the Ministry of Education curriculum, international school qualifications, and documents from other recognised educational institutions. Certificates issued through the Ministry of Education, Abu Dhabi’s TAMM platform, and the Sharjah Private Education Authority can all be authenticated through this digital route.

How Long Does It Actually Take?
Digital documents issued within the UAE are processed within two hours. Compare that to documents submitted through courier service providers, which take one to three working days depending on the courier and destination, and the appeal of going digital becomes pretty obvious.
There is a catch worth knowing before you get your hopes up. The digital service only applies to UAE-issued electronic documents that carry a verification feature, such as a QR code, barcode, or reference number. If your certificate is an old-school paper original without any of these, you’ll still need the courier route.
Eligible documents beyond educational certificates also include birth, death certificates and police clearance certificates.

How To Apply And What You’ll Need
The process runs through the ministry’s official website and smart application. Once everything’s processed, you can download your digitally attested documents through the “My Applications” section of the website.
One thing to get right the first time: the ministry has been clear that applications with inaccurate information, altered documents, or non-original submissions will simply be rejected. So double-check your document details match exactly before you hit submit.
