The latest episode of India’s Got Latent saw singer Karan Aujla join Samay Raina, Tanmay Bhat, Gurleen Pannu and Rahul Dua on the judges’ panel. While the show is known for its witty banter and roast-style humour, it was a heartfelt moment that stole the spotlight this time. Moved by a runway couple’s love story, the Punjabi singer surprised them by sponsoring their dream trip to the Maldives.
Couple’s Love Story Melts Everyone’s Heart On India’s Got Latent
India’s Got Latent contestant Vijendra Rajak wowed the judges with his wheel stunt performance before introducing them to his wife, Manju Rajak. During their interaction, the couple revealed that they had eloped because their families did not approve of their relationship. Vijendra shared that after just a month of dating, Manju insisted they get married, and despite their financial struggles, they decided to tie the knot.
Their journey, however, was far from easy. Vijendra revealed that his wife’s family filed a police complaint after they eloped, and the couple has since done everything to make ends meet. Even then, they have accumulated a debt of nearly ₹12 lakh.
Karan Aujla Gifts Couple A Dream Vacation To The Maldives
When Samay Raina asked Vijendra about his biggest dream. Without hesitation, he replied that he wanted to visit the Maldives with his wife. Touched by the answer and the couple’s story, Karan Aujla surprised the couple by offering to pay for their trip, saying, “You will be happy to go to the Maldives, right? So, I will sponsor your tickets.”
The gesture drew applause from the panel, with Samay calling it “sweet.” Karan then smiled and told Vijendra, “You are getting this because of your wife.”
After the episode aired, Vijendra took to Instagram to thank the show and Aujla for the memorable surprise. He wrote, “Thank you so much, India’s Got Latent, for giving me such an amazing platform and unforgettable experience. A huge thank you to Karan Aujla for your appreciation and for this incredible Maldives trip. It truly means a lot to me.”
