1. Dubai Sets The Price For Adahi For 1447 AH (2026) Hajj Season
Dubai’s Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities recently approved the pricing for adahi. This is for Hajj 2026 and it’s in coordination with accredited charities. It should be noted that this move is a part of efforts to standardise the pricing of sacrifice vouchers.
2. Sharjah Launches High-Impact Awareness Campaign
Sharjah recently launched a high-impact awareness campaign with the effort of protecting residents and their property. This initiative is called ‘Your Belongings Are Your Responsibility,’ and aims to curb home burglaries. It also aims to reduce vehicle theft and reinforce the culture of vigilance.
3. Kuwait Records 4.4 Magnitude Earthquake
Kuwait recently recorded a 4.4-magnitude earthquake. This earthquake struck southwest of Kuwait on Tuesday, May 5th. As mentioned by the Kuwait National Seismic Network, the tremor was recorded in the Al Manaqeesh area at 1:27 PM. The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 5 kilometres below the surface.
4. DFRE Announces Proud Of UAE Sale
DFRE recently announced the Proud of UAE campaign. This is a special campaign which offers discounts. Moreover, deals from top brands will also be available until May 21st. It should be noted that shoppers get access to citywide offers. 5. Dual Art Exhibition Coming To Saudi Arabia And UAE
There are many exhibitions that take place in Riyadh and Jeddah, and the first-ever dual art exhibition in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. It is taking place in Jeddah from May 20th to October 17th. And it will also happen in Dubai from May 9th to October 4th. The two-group show is titled ‘Global Positioning System’. It will open at Hayy Jameel (Jeddah) and along a presentation at Jameel Arts Centre in Dubai.
