Dubai Police has rolled out a new doorstep delivery service that lets residents get their lost-and-found items delivered straight to their home or workplace, anywhere across the UAE’s 7 emirates. If you’ve ever had to rearrange your entire day just to drive to a police service centre and collect a recovered wallet or phone, this update is for you.

The initiative, announced on Dubai Police’s official X account, is fairly straightforward. Once an item you’ve reported lost is recovered and matched back to you, you no longer need to show up in person to claim it. Instead, customers can simply call the Dubai Police Call Centre on 901 and arrange for the item to be delivered directly to their address, whether that’s a home in Sharjah, an office in Abu Dhabi, or anywhere else in the country. It’s a small change on paper, but a genuinely useful one for anyone juggling work hours, traffic, or simply living too far from the nearest service centre.

Part Of A Bigger Push For Smarter Policing

Dubai Police has been steadily expanding its portfolio of smart, customer-first services over the past few years, and this delivery option slots neatly into that pattern. The force has previously rolled out kiosks, dedicated safety platforms at high-footfall spots like Global Village, and digital reporting tools that cut out unnecessary paperwork and queueing. The goal, as stated by the force, is to streamline procedures and cut down the friction between losing something and actually getting it back. The broader ambition is to be one of the world’s most efficient smart cities.

For context, Dubai Police returned more than 171,000 lost items to their owners in 2025 alone. The force’s 901 hotline has already logged around 274,000 calls so far in 2026 across 33 different services. 

A doorstep delivery option means one less errand on an already long UAE to-do list. It’s especially handy for residents who work far from a police station, parents juggling school runs, or anyone simply short on time. Tourists and visitors reporting lost items during their stay may still need to check the applicable process before departure.
