They are encouraged not to do so for an extended period next to this stone, which is in the Grand Mosque. The holiest site in Islam in Mecca, it draws thousands of visitors every day. As a result, stopping next to this stone might disrupt the flow of the worshippers and can even obstruct the ritual.

It has been revealed by the ministry that Tawaf does not need to touch or kiss the Black Stone. Yes, they can maintain a steady pace and just gesture towards the stone as they pass.
