Ferris wheel is one of the most famous attractions anywhere. Sometimes you will find it at an amusement park; other times it may be at a city centre, making it a permanent attraction for the people. But they both have one thing in common: there are many people who cannot get enough of this attraction. And soon a Ferris wheel might come up in Madinah.

Hijaz Eye Proposed For Saudi Arabia

As revealed by Construction Week in its report, Hijaz Eye is a proposed attraction, which is valued at SAR511 million. It has been listed on the Invest Saudi platform, as revealed in the same report. It features over 2,200 investment opportunities. This project is proposed to be planned on 33,700 sq m in Madinah, which is roughly an area equivalent to five football fields.

The Proposed Project Does Not Disclose Any Details Yet

Although it’s worth mentioning that the project details do not disclose any planned height of the Ferris wheel, this investment is going to be a major attraction which would offer panoramic views of the city. Not to mention, it also aligns with the Vision 2030 goals of the Kingdom that places tourism growth, cultural experience, and private sector investment at the centre. Moreover, Saudi Arabia also recorded 14 million international visitors for religious purposes in 2025.

A New Ferris Wheel Is Opening In Salalah

In fact, just recently, Salalah in Oman also announced that it would be opening soon. Expected to open on July 15th, this is just in time for the Khareef Season. The Salalah skyline just got higher with 30 cabins that would be soaring above Al Hafa Beach. Offering an uninterrupted 360° view, every cabin can accommodate six guests and is climate-sealed. The rotation takes about 8 to 12 minutes and offers 42 km of the horizon on a clear weather day.

So even though details about the proposed projects are still under wraps, it might soon become a reality if the proposed plan gets approved.
