For years, Oman has quietly built a reputation as the Gulf country people visit for mountains, beaches and slower-paced weekends away. The Sultanate has launched a new initiative called Inspire Oman, aimed at putting local companies, entrepreneurs and investment opportunities in front of international audiences. But it isn’t just another campaign with glossy photos and slogans.
Oman Attracts Investors And Entrepreneurs With New ‘Inspire Oman’ Push
Officials want investors, business owners and even tourists to see a different side of Oman, one that goes beyond its scenery and holiday appeal.
The programme is being rolled out in phases rather than all at once. It will begin with a publication focusing on Omani businesses and success stories before expanding into an international digital campaign and eventually an investors’ summit designed to bring global attention to opportunities in the country.
For many small and medium-sized businesses, that could mean access to audiences they may never have reached otherwise. Also, it gives local entrepreneurs something many growing companies need: visibility.
Investors Are The Target, But Tourism Is Part Of The Plan Too
While attracting investment sits at the heart of the project, tourism hasn’t been left out of the conversation. The campaign also plans to highlight Oman’s economic progress, homegrown companies and entrepreneurs alongside the country’s attractions and experiences.
Countries are increasingly trying to sell themselves not only as places to visit, but as places to live, work and build businesses too. Oman’s leaning on that approach as well.
The Bigger Picture Is Oman Vision 2040
The initiative ties into Oman Vision 2040, the country’s long-term strategy to diversify the economy and reduce dependence on oil revenues.
Winning over investors often comes down to confidence, simplicity and whether businesses believe a country is serious about long-term growth. The hope is that Inspire Oman helps answer some of those questions.

Entrepreneurs Were Front And Centre At The Launch
The initiative was officially introduced in Muscat at the headquarters of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Business leaders and entrepreneurs attended the launch, signalling that the project is intended to involve the private sector rather than simply promote it from a distance.
