AlUla Skies Festival Returns This November And Full List Of Programmes Is Now Out!

AlUla Skies Festival is returning from November 6th to 15th. And during the 10 days of this amazing event, there will be hot air balloon flights, illuminated balloon shows, stargazing, meteor showers, wellness sessions, and outdoor cinemas under the sky. With the event returning with a new edition, this is something you wouldn’t want to miss.

AlUla Skies Festival Returns In November

The AlUla Skies Festival, which returns for 10 days of hot air balloon flights, outdoor cinemas under the skies, and more, starts at 4:30 AM. The reason for this is that during this time, Hegra from a hot air balloon looks absolutely stunning. Watch the AlUla Skyrise with 30 hot air balloons as they take to the skies over Hegra. The sunrise flight will be running throughout the festival, and you will get to spend about an hour in the air as you take in the beautiful landscape of AlUla from high up in the sky. It requires an advance booking,, and tickets cost SAR990 per person.

What Does The Programme Look Like?

You can also hop in on a Tethered Hot Air Balloon Experience, which will be taking place at AlManshiyah Plaza. It takes you about 50 m above the ground for a panoramic view without disappearing off into the desert. This is a 20-minute experience, and it runs every evening from November 6th to November 15th. It costs SAR100 per person. Timings for this happen to be from 6 PM to 10 PM.

The next programme on the list is the Hot Air Balloon Glow Show. It returns with 12 illuminated balloons that form the backdrop for an hour of music, projections, fire, and acrobatics. It’s taking place on November 6th and 7th at Hegra, and then on November 13th and 14th at Elephant Rock. The show will take place from 9 PM to 10 PM, with tickets starting at SAR30.

Outdoor Cinema Under The Stars, Meteor Shower Viewing & More

With meteor showers taking place during the month, it is the ideal time to attend the festival. After all, from November 7th-12th, there will be a period of largely moonless skies. These make the perfect conditions for spotting celestial objects in the sky. On November 15th, there will be the Leonid Meteor Shower. It comes with four guided experiences at Jabal Ikmah. There will also be guided stargazing, which will happen at AlUla Fort, and it will be free to attend, on November 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th.

VOX Moonlight Cinema Screenings will be happening throughout the 10-day festival. The astronomy sessions will happen at AlUla Manara. There’s even something called Sunset Stillness that is planned at Our Habitas AlUla.

So, with the event coming back for another banger season, this is something you absolutely wouldn’t want to miss if you’re also looking to do something different.
