Forget the usual dinner-and-a-view plan. Mangrove Adventures for Marine Sports (MAMS) is running its Glow Full Moon experience out of Saadiyat Marina this July, and it might just be the most atmospheric AED 99 you’ll spend all month. It’s a guided kayak tour through Abu Dhabi’s mangroves, timed to the full moon, followed by a relaxed picnic on the water’s edge.

What’s Actually Included In This Glow Full Moon Kayak Experience

The experience runs for two hours and covers a guided kayak paddle through the mangroves, professional guiding, life jackets and safety gear, followed by a picnic setup with complimentary juice, bottled water and traditional Emirati luqaimat. It works equally well as a low-key date night or a family outing, and there’s something genuinely calming about drifting through mangrove channels with only moonlight for company.

Dates, Timings & How To Book

The Glow Full Moon experience is running on 29, 30 and 31 July, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, at Saadiyat Marina. Tickets are AED 99 for adults and AED 69 for kids aged 3 to 13. Given it’s only available across three nights, booking is strongly recommended; spaces are limited, and this one tends to sell out fast.

More Mangrove Adventures In Abu Dhabi

If night kayaking isn’t quite your speed, Abu Dhabi’s mangroves have plenty of daytime options too. Jubail Mangrove Park offers guided boardwalk walks and kayaking through the same ecosystem, while Saadiyat’s northern beaches are also one of the best free spots in the city to catch dolphins in the wild. Either way, Abu Dhabi’s mangroves are proving to be one of the capital’s most underrated adventure spots.
