Anyone who has ever attended a big Indian wedding knows one thing: it’s never quiet. There’s dancing before dinner, loud music till late, relatives taking over the dance floor and enough food to feed an entire neighbourhood. Now imagine all of that, minus the actual bride and groom. The idea is called ‘ The Fake Indian Wedding’ and it’s happening at The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa on May 28. And yes, it’s exactly as dramatic and colourful as it sounds.
Bahrain Is Getting A ‘Fake Indian Wedding’ Party And Honestly, It Sounds Wild
The Bollywood-themed event is bringing a full wedding-style celebration to Bahrain for one night only, complete with DJs, dhol players, henna artists and Indian food stations.
For many people, Indian weddings are less about ceremonies and more about chaos, dancing and non-stop celebration.
It’s Basically An Indian Wedding Without Family Drama
Guests can expect Bollywood music blasting through the ballroom, live DJ performances and traditional dhol beats that will probably make standing still impossible. There will also be henna stations for guests along with festive décor inspired by large Indian wedding celebrations.
And honestly, dressing up might be half the fun. The organisers are encouraging people to arrive in festive outfits, so expect lots of sequins, sherwanis, lehengas and probably people pretending they’re in a Karan Johar film for the night.
The Party Is Happening Inside The Grand Ambassador Ballroom
The event will take place inside the Grand Ambassador Ballroom at The Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel in Manama.
Doors open at 8pm on Thursday, May 28.
Also, this isn’t being pitched as a formal cultural event or a sit-down dinner. It’s more of a high-energy social night where people come to dance, eat and enjoy the vibe of a huge Indian celebration without the pressure of actually knowing the families involved.
Food, Music And Full Wedding Energy
Along with music and performances, authentic Indian food stations will also be part of the experience.
And if Indian weddings have taught the world anything, it’s that guests absolutely judge events by the food.
The combination of street-style flavours, desserts, loud music and wedding décor will probably make the ballroom feel closer to a big reception party than a hotel event.

Tickets Start At BHD 5
General entry tickets are priced at BHD 5, while couples can attend for BHD 8.
Considering actual Indian weddings usually involve guest lists in the hundreds, multiple outfit changes and endless ceremonies, this might honestly be the easiest wedding invitation people receive all year. Minus the awkward family questions like ‘when are you getting married or how much did you score in your exams this year?’
If you just nodded to this line, gather your gang to have fun at the Fake Indian Wedding in Bahrain.
