Cinema lovers, you are in for some brilliant news! After all, Abu Dhabi has announced the return of Cannes Film Nights. Yes, it’s bringing back this programme, which will be running across five days until May 16th. The programme, which begins today, May 12th, here’s all you need to know about it.
Cannes Film Nights Returns To Abu Dhabi
Cannes Film Nights at Louvre Abu Dhabi is being organised in collaboration with the Institut français in the UAE, and it’s happening until May 12th. This event, as revealed by the museum, coincides with the opening of the Cannes Film Festival in France. For five consecutive evenings, the auditorium of the museum will transform into a cinematic space. This space, which celebrates international storytelling, award-winning films, and cross-cultural cinema.
The Programmes Span Across 5 Days
For those wondering, the films have been curated from the festival archive. This year’s programme includes literary adaptations, restored classics, emotional dramas, and contemporary animation. For those who are wondering, these are the programmes that will be screened:
- The Count of Monte Cristo – May 12th
- Sweet Bean – May 13th
- Said Effendi – May 14th
- Sentimental Value – May 15th
- Flow – May 16th

What About The Screenings?
Now coming to the schedule, these screenings will take place at 7 PM, for which doors will open at 6:30 PM and close at 6:55. The location is the Auditorium of Abu Dhabi.
