Sharjah just found a fresh way to keep families entertained through the last stretch of summer, and it’s landed in one of the emirate’s most talked-about neighbourhoods. Say hello to Shamsa Entertainment City, which brings AR games, craft workshops, a culinary lab for tiny chefs, and 7,000+ gifts to Sharjah.
This New Family Entertainment City Just Opened In Sharjah’s Aljada
Shamsa Entertainment City has opened its doors at Aljada, running until September 5 under the theme “Shamsa Festival – Where Joy Shines”. The destination is part of Sharjah Summer Promotions 2026, jointly organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), designed to blend play, learning and creativity for children and young visitors.
What’s Inside
The venue is split into distinct zones. At Taj Shamsa Studios, kids can get hands-on with drawing, design and craft workshops. Over at the Shamsa Culinary Lab, young chefs-in-training try their hand at cooking and dessert-making. For the adrenaline seekers, the Grand Play Arena brings augmented reality games, electric bumper cars and adventure trails into the mix. Little ones can also leave their mark on a “Wall of Gratitude” or send a personal “Message to Shamsa” before heading out.
Families shopping at participating malls stand to benefit too. More than 7,000 Shamsa-branded gifts are being handed out to children as rewards for purchases made across the city’s shopping centres during the campaign.
Part Of A Much Bigger Summer
Shamsa Entertainment City is one piece of Sharjah’s wider summer push, which spans Sharjah City, the Central Region and the East Coast, touching destinations like Khorfakkan, Kalba and Dibba Al Hisn, with more than 55 government and private-sector partners on board. Shoppers can bag discounts of up to 75 per cent across thousands of outlets, alongside more than 60 tourism packages and over 700 prizes up for grabs.
SCTDA Chairman Khalid Jasim Al Midfa said the campaign was built to reinforce Sharjah’s standing as a family tourism destination, weaving together entertainment, creativity and community engagement. SCCI Director-General Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi added that the push is also meant to support retailers by driving footfall and commercial activity across the emirate.
