Al Wathba To Light Up Skies With Massive Fireworks
Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi is getting ready for a grand New Year’s Eve celebration. Complete with fireworks and the world’s largest drone show, it is truly an extraordinary festive programme. Not to mention, there will also be cultural activities from participating country pavilions, sponsors, and partners, this is a part of the Sheikh Zayed Festival, and it’s still finalising the details for the show.
Aim For 5 New Guinness World Records
Talking about the fireworks, it will feature an unprecedented display, which aims to set five new Guinness World Records. This will be through five timed segments starting at 8 PM. The Gulf News report also mentioned how the show will peak up at midnight, and the main display is going to continue for 62 consecutive minutes. It’s truly going to create a dazzling spectacle over Al Wathba, leaving people in awe.

6,500 Drones Also Involved
With the help of the latest launch and visual synchronisation technologies, the fireworks will illuminate the skies across a wide area. Not to mention, visitors will also get to witness a massive drone display. As such, 6500 drones will be involved in a single 20-minute flight. They will form nine giant artistic scenes, which will be showcased for the first time across the world. The drone formation will then be integrated with the digital countdown and the fireworks. Therefore, the unified visual experience would certainly be the highlight of the festival, marking the advent of the New Year.
Coming to the New Year’s Eve programme, you can also expect a festive arena hosting Emirati performances with 100s of performers. International troupes will also be performing, creating a spectacular scene for the visitors.
