On Monday, January 12th, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, launched the Season of Wulfa. This is a new initiative that celebrates Emirati traditions, values, and cultural heritage. To be led by Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, this programme will run through the month of Ramadan.
Season Of Wulfa To Run Through Ramadan
Today, we launched the Season of Wulfa in Dubai, an initiative overseen by Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed that celebrates the spirit of Emirati culture and occasions, including Haq Al Leila, Ramadan, and Eid.

Season of Wulfa will run through the month of Ramadan, Hag Al Leila, and Eid celebrations. It will showcase the rich heritage of Dubai while also fostering tolerance, coexistence, and respect for all cultures. As revealed in the report of the Dubai Media Office, it highlights the core Emirati values. Yes, these are of reflection, connection and blessing that are expressed through local customs, hospitality, and community gatherings. So, with this initiative, the aim is to strengthen social bonds and preserve traditions.
Feature More Than 50 Initiatives
Offering people an opportunity to connect with their cultural identity while also fostering harmony, the programme is something you wouldn’t want to miss. It will feature more than 50 initiatives that will be taking place across 30 locations. Yes, this includes neighbourhoods, cultural centres, and markets.
