If you’ve lived in the UAE long enough, you know the Zayed Charity Run isn’t just a run. It’s that one morning when everyone, from fitness freaks to casual walkers, shows up with purpose. And this year’s edition is happening on November 29, 2025.

The 14th edition of Zayed Charity Run returns under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The event keeps alive a tradition built on the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Families come with strollers, schools bring their entire squads, and seasoned athletes chase personal bests at one unified track in Abu Dhabi.
But here’s the real highlight: the proceeds go toward three major initiatives at the Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Centre. This year, the focus sits on customised cancer treatments, next-gen precision medicine, and breakthrough perinatal interventions. So, here’s your purpose to join the run this year!
Where It All Starts
The route extends between Wahat Al Karama and the ERTH Hotel Abu Dhabi, with the capacity to accommodate the expected crowd of around 15,000 participants. Basically, there’s enough space for everyone to run along without clashing into each other.
You can choose to run for 3km, 5km, or 10km routes. So, from amateur runners to professionals, the event gives different lanes for everyone, depending on their fitness levels.
Who Can Join?
Anyone willing to run. Registration is open to all UAE residents for AED 55 + VAT. If you’re signing up a massive team like 100 people or more, you pay AED 40 + VAT per head.
Once you’re registered, you can collect your run pack at ERTH Hotel from November 24 to 28, between 3 pm and 9 pm. It’s smooth, organised, and usually pretty quick to collect
What’s Up For grabs?
The event has organised a cash prize of AED 1.5 million, and the following awards for each race category will be handed out post-race. So, there’s a purpose, the fun of running with the community and also a cash prize!

After Party
When the running wraps up, the fun kicks in. ERTH Hotel transforms into a lively community village with kids’ activities, family zones, stage shows, food stalls, and photo spots. So, if you’re planning to join, lace up early and book your tickets right away.
