There’s a new kind of table in Abu Dhabi, and it’s unlike anything the city has seen before. Jaww Spot, the newest name in neo-Emirati dining, has opened its doors in Blooms Garden, Al Muntazah, and is already turning heads.

The name itself sets the tone. Jaww is a Khaleeji word meaning atmosphere, mood, or vibe, and the restaurant leans fully into that idea, capturing what Abu Dhabi tastes and feels like today, shaped by people, ideas and flavours coming together in a space that feels effortless, grounded, and distinctly contemporary.
Born From The Team Behind Meals On Me
Jaww Spot comes from the team behind the popular meal-plan brand Meals on Me, and this venture is born from genuine lived experience rather than a fixed culinary playbook.
According to Steve Delpino, former chef and now Director of Growth for the group, Jaww Spot does not have a traditional culinary history. Instead, the restaurant draws its inspiration from the UAE’s culture, which he describes as grounded and welcoming.
He highlights the strong sense of identity found across the UAE, alongside an openness that encourages people to contribute, build and feel a sense of belonging.
What’s On The Menu
The menu is ingredient-driven, pulling from Mediterranean, Levantine, Middle Eastern and global influences that have naturally woven themselves into modern Emirati life.
Expect starters like charred eggplant and labneh with pomegranate and za’atar oil, and a refined fattoush with crisp pita and pomegranate molasses. There’s also freekeh with roasted vegetables and a tahini-lemon dressing for something heartier.
From the hot kitchen, standout dishes include saffron kunafa prawns, harees croquettes, and camel bites tucked into golden vol-au-vent pastry, a confident local twist on familiar techniques.
