Aiku Opens In Jeddah
Offering a delectable selection of hand-rolled sushi, Aiku is now open in Jeddah. For the unversed, Aiku means first born. With a minimalistic concept, they have kept things understated here. Even though they had a quiet opening, it is still difficult to get bookings here. And when you do try to get a reservation online, the earliest one available is for June.
What Can You Expect From The Menu?
A restaurant that’s built around a curated menu and delicious hand-rolled sushi, they offer both counter and table seating. Surrounded by a minimalistic interior design, they feature simple interiors, soft lighting and cleanliness. There is a central communal counter, which offers a front row view of every hand-rolled sushi that is being prepared, fresh to order.

Handrolls That Are A Must-Have
Handrolls are obviously a must-have here. These are casual styles of sushi, which are made by wrapping a sheet of seaweed around fillings, like fish and rice. At Aiko, you will want to try their Spicy Tuna, Spicy Kani, and Meso Aubergine. The rolls arrive, one at a time, from the counter, which makes for a laid-back dinner at a comforting pace.
While Jeddah has many places to savour Japanese cuisine, a dedicated hand bar certainly makes for a brilliant addition for people who love to savour Sushi.
