Abu Dhabi is welcoming a fresh wave of restaurants this April, adding even more variety to the capital’s ever-growing food scene. From casual, laid-back eateries to more refined dining destinations, these new openings bring together flavours from around the world. If you’re looking to try somewhere new, these seven new restaurants in Abu Dhabi are well worth adding to your dining list this month.

1. 88 Seoul

Korean cuisine is transforming dining scenes worldwide, and Abu Dhabi now has its own taste of Seoul with 88 Seoul. This cosy eatery brings authentic Korean street food to the capital, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. From crispy jeon and flavour-packed Korean fried chicken to comforting bowls of ramen, jjambbong, and classic tteokbokki, the menu covers all the favourites. Pair your meal with traditional drinks like sikhye or sujeonggwa, and finish with a light dessert for the full Seoul-style experience.

When: Monday to Thursday from 2 pm to 10 pm and Friday to Sunday from 12 pm to 10 pm

2. Slice 45

Initially a pop-up, Slice 45 has now opened its first permanent restaurant in Khalidiya. The homegrown concept, inspired by New York-style pizzas, built a strong loyal fan base through pop-ups and cloud kitchen drops before settling into its new space. The menu features crowd favourites like the Ribbecca, Umami Bomb, Trifecta and The Raging Bull, alongside classic slices. With a laid-back trattoria-style vibe and extras like burrata or truffle sauce, it’s a great new spot to try.

3. Art Of Dum

Now open at Reem Mall, this Indian restaurant brings refined flavours and a stylish setting to the capital’s dining scene. The menu offers elevated takes on classics, from smoky kebabs and rich curries to fragrant biryanis, alongside creative dishes like Malai Broccoli and Charcoal Carrot Halwa. Signature highlights include Galouti kebabs, Butter Chicken and the Yakhni Dum Gosht Biryani, with value meal options also available. With chic interiors and an open kitchen, it’s a spot worth adding to your April dining list.

4.‘Za ‘Za

Popular Dubai-based NY-style artisanal pizzeria ZaZa Slice has opened a new branch at Al Qana, bringing its signature pizza-by-the-slice concept to Abu Dhabi. Known for crowd-pleasing options like Tricolore, Tartufo, and classic pepperoni, the menu also features hearty bites such as meatballs and doughballs, Caesar salad, and indulgent desserts like tiramisu and New York cheesecake. Alongside 20″ pies and tavern-style pizzas, the spot delivers bold flavours and a laid-back slice-shop experience ideal for casual dining.

5. Akawa

Located on the picturesque coastline of Hudayriyat Island, Akawa is an Arabic-fusion fine dining restaurant at Bab Al Nojoum. The menu features regional flavours and modern techniques, reimagining familiar dishes with seasonal ingredients. Guests can enjoy gourmet plates, signature creations, and handcrafted drinks in a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the sea. Blue, a casual fine-dining restaurant on Mamsha Beach in Al Saadiyat, combines a serene seaside atmosphere with a vibrant city vibe. The menu features seasonal, locally sourced ingredients prepared with Nordic-inspired techniques, resulting in shareable plates. Dishes range from citrus-cured hamachi and beef tartare to lamb rump and grilled wagyu flank, alongside lighter bites such as brioche, flatbreads, and oysters. Its open-fire kitchen, garden seating and relaxed coastal setting offer a refined yet easygoing dining experience.

Levant Oriental introduces an elevated take on Levantine cuisine, drawing on the culinary traditions of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Palestine. The menu spans everything from morning favourites like labneh and shakshouka to comforting fattah, freshly baked manakish, and classic desserts including mafroukeh and um ali. A selection of fresh juices, mojitos, and rich signature shakes completes the experience. Guests can enjoy it all in a cosy setting, with indoor and outdoor seating and premium shisha.
