Dubai International Airport is preparing for one of its busiest summer travel periods. It is expected that around 3 million passengers will pass through its terminals in the first half of July. With the peak summer travel rush starting, arrivals and departures start from July 2nd as the residents leave for holidays. As a result, Emirates, which is a Dubai-based airline, has also issued a travel advisory.
Dubai International Airport Braces For Summer Travel Rush
It is expected that the first half of July will see around 3 million passengers passing through the terminals of Dubai International Airport. The traffic is expected to regularly cross around 200,000 passengers during the period. It is expected that July 12th is going to be the busiest day with over 2,25,000 travellers. As mentioned in a report of the Gulf News, Dubai Airport has said that it has activated its readiness plan.
Passengers are therefore advised to arrive no earlier than three hours before their departure. Not to mention, they must use online check-in wherever possible. Passengers have also been reminded that spare batteries and power banks can only be carried in hand luggage. This rule often causes delays during baggage screening when such items are placed in the checked bags.
New Experiences At DXB
Not only this, but new airport experiences also avoid passengers as they will see ‘I Heart DXB’ interactive installation. This will be at Concourse B, which would be near Gates B28. The installation would allow departing and transit passengers to upload a selfie as they become a part of the shared digital portrait of Dubai, which is in the colours of the UAE flag.

Emirates Issues Advisory For Travellers
Not only this, but Emirates has also issued a travel advisory for passengers. Yes, those who are flying out of Dubai International Airport this weekend. They have warned that departures from Terminal 3 are going to be busy. With a large influx of passengers expected from July 3rd to 5th, travelling over the weekend is most likely to remain heavy. So travellers have also been asked to plan ahead so that they can allow extra time for airport traffic. Not only this, but Emirates passengers have also been advised to arrive at the airport three hours before departure. However, passengers have also been asked to factor possible delays on the roads that lead to the airport.
With airports expected to be busier than ever, passengers can check in and drop their bags up to 24 hours before departure. They can also do so up to 12 hours before departure for flights to the US.
So, if you are someone who has plans of travelling in the first half of July, you might want to keep this travel advisory in mind and plan ahead to avoid the summer rush.
