Salalah Eye is one of the most awaited landmarks in Oman that’s rising above Al Haffa Beach. And the opening date for this massive Ferris wheel by the beach has now been announced. Yes, Salalah Eye is expected to open on July 15th, and we are here to tell you all about the development.

Salalah Eye Opens On July 15th

As evident from the website, Salalah Eye is going to open on July 15th. Standing 55 m above the ground, it offers a 360° view of the surrounding area. Just in time for the Khareef Season, this Ferris wheel has a capacity for 180 guests per rotation. With a splendid view of the ocean and the surroundings offers an unprecedented view of the Salalah skyline.

This Ferris Wheel Features 30 Cabins

Talking about Salalah Eye, it features 30 cabins that are located above Al Haffa Beach. Each rotation takes about 8 to 12 minutes offer a 42 km panoramic view of the horizon on clear weather; it is bound to leave people stand with the beauty of the area. During the day, it offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area, and when the sun goes down, the spokes begin to glow with 30 lines of cyan lights turning above the sea.

The cabins are always open and surrounded by glass, and there’s a scent of frankincense; it offers a view of the Arabian Sea lying before you. While every other Ferris wheel stops during the rain, Salalah Eye has been built for it. Every cabin can hold six guests, and these are fully enclosed with climate control.

Coming to the cabins, these are available in three options. The first one is the early bird, which offers the best value for an afternoon ride for OMR6. This ride is available before 5 PM and offers the same 360° view. The next option is the standard cabin, which is available for OMR7 and can hold six guests at a time for a full rotation. The next one is the family cabin costing OMR28, where you get the whole cabin. Complete with six seats, this is fully enclosed and is perfect for families and friends.

It should be noted that once Salalah Eye opens, the operating hours would be from 10 AM to 11 PM. Finally, coming to the location, it is located on Al Haffa Beach, which is about eight minutes from Salalah City Centre by car. It is about 12 minutes from the Salalah International Airport, and all you need to do is ask for Al Haffa Beach Salalah Eye if you wish to travel by taxi.
