Yes, this would be between Abu Dhabi and Gothenburg, and it would be serviced by non-stop flights. The service between the two destinations will be operated four times a week until March 21st, 2027. It should be noted that the new service to Gothenburg is the first direct link to the Middle East and Asia. It connects the West coast of Sweden directly to the UAE capital.

Travellers from Gothenburg will get to travel across the onward network of Etihad Airways across Asia, including services to destinations like Hanoi, Singapore, Shanghai, Phuket, and Krabi, to name some. This city is the 15th new destination that Etihad Airways has launched in 2026. It will be operated by their Airbus A321LR. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that it’s the newest aircraft in the airline’s fleet of the airline. It features two first-class suites, 14 business seats, and 144 seats in the economy. The first and business classes feature fully flat beds and offer direct access. While the economy seats feature ergonomic seating. These have a 13.3-inch 4K touchscreen display, and there are hundreds of hours of film, television, and music on demand.
