Air India Express has revealed that soon, the UAE and India will have a new flight option. Yes, it has announced its plans to start its first international service from Navi Mumbai International Airport. And this will be to Abu Dhabi. Air India Express Announces New Direct Route From Navi Mumbai
From July 15th onwards, Air India Express has announced that it will launch direct flights between Navi Mumbai International Airport and Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport. As it happens, passengers in the Mumbai Metropolitan region will have an additional gateway for those travelling to the UAE capital. Moreover, it also gives Indian expats another route to travel home.
The Service Will Initially Start With Two Weekly Flights
The service will initially be operated twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays. However, Air India Express will later increase the flights to three services from July 29th onwards. Sunday flight operations will later be added. Navi Mumbai International Airport is the newest airport in Maharashtra. It is expected to offer an additional aviation gateway for the Mumbai Metropolitan region. Currently, flights are mostly operated from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, which is a major airport for the Mumbai Area.

More About Flight Operations With Air India
With the opening of this new route, Air India will be operating 30 weekly flights from Navi Mumbai. Not to mention, the airport will be connected with Abu Dhabi, Bengaluru and Delhi. Operations in Maharashtra by the airline will include over 95 weekly flights from Mumbai. With over 100 weekly flights from Pune and 14 weekly flights from Nagpur, people are truly in for some flight choices. Air India Express has also mentioned how it currently operates flights, which link several Indian cities. These are linked with destinations across West Asia, which include Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
So, once the new route begins its operations, travellers who want to travel to Mumbai will have a new route option.
