Dubai Airport has announced that it is prepared to handle over 3,600 pilgrims. Yes, this is during the Hajj travel period for 2026, and it accounts for nearly 59% of all the UAE pilgrims that will be departing from its terminal. Departure flight will operate until May 23rd, and these will be serviced by Emirates, Saudia, flydubai, and flynas.
Dubai Airport Announces Hajj Travel Plan
The official Dubai Government delegation departed on May 21st. Yes, and Dubai Airport, which is handling departure flights until May 23rd, has introduced a bunch of services for the people. Yes, a dedicated operational plan is underway at the airport that is in coordination with airlines and government entities like the GDRFA, Dubai Duty Free, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Customs, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, dnata, the RTA, and the Dubai Health Authority.
A Multitude Of Facilities For Travellers
Under the plan, a dedicated check-in counter. Yes, there is an allocation of departure and arrival gates that are closest to the main concourse. Complete with multilingual guest experience staff, as revealed in a report of the Gulf News, there are even support desks, Ihram changing facilities, and prayer rooms. Not only this, but the authorities are even giving additional support for elderly pilgrims and passengers. Yes, this is especially for those who require assistance. There is even increased wheelchair availability, ground support teams, and on-site medical services that have been provided by the DCAS.

Pilgrims Advised To Arrive On Time
Moreover, pilgrims have also been advised to arrive at least four hours before their departure time. Additionally, they must ensure that they carry all the required documents. Return flights are also expected between May 30th and June 2nd. There will be dedicated arrival arrangements in place, which include a baggage belt for Zamzam water.
With the Hajj season here, these facilities are making travel easier for people who are travelling to Saudi Arabia for the season.
