Eid al-Adha is just a few days away, and just ahead of the Eid travel Rush, Dubai Roads and Transport Authority has issued a travel advisory for metro users. Not only this, but Emirates has also released a travel advisory for travellers. Here’s what these authorities are saying to passengers.
Dubai RTA Issues Travel Advisory Ahead Of Eid Travel Rush
Dubai RTA has issued a travel advisory. This is ahead of the Eid al-Adha holiday and has asked passengers to plan journeys early. They’ve been asked to use public transport and to avoid congestion around the Dubai International Airport. Not to mention, they have also asked passengers to use the Dubai Metro via the airport stations, which is at Terminal 1 and 3. This would ensure a smoother and faster commute during the holiday rush.
A Minimum nol Card Balance Is A Must
It should also be noted that passengers have been reminded to make sure that they have sufficient balance on their nol cards. A minimum of AED15 is required for Silver Card users. Not to mention, there is a limit of two pieces of luggage per person, which applies to the metro services.

Emirates Also Issues An Advisory
Not only the Dubai RTA, but the Emirates has also issued a passenger advisory. Emirates has also advised passengers that there could be heavy airport traffic during the holiday period. So, travellers have been asked to arrive at least three hours before their departure time. Not to mention, they’ve also been advised to be at the boarding gates no later than 60 minutes before their flights take off. This is to avoid delays during the peak movement periods. Additionally, the Dubai-based airline is also promoting early and digital check-in options in order to streamline the passenger flow and reduce waiting times in the queue.
Finally, the airline has also recommended the use of the Dubai Metro instead of private vehicles for arriving at the airport. This is to reduce getting stuck in possible road congestion during the travel search. So, if you are someone who is travelling this Eid, you will want to keep this advisory in mind for a seamless and quick travel.
