Dubai has announced that it is granting Golden Visas to outstanding teachers and educators who work in private educational institutions. This step aims to recognise their contribution towards schools, students, and the wider education sector. The initiative was announced under the directive of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence of the UAE and the Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.

The announcement about the Golden Visa for outstanding educators coincided with World Teachers’ Day. As revealed in a report by the Dubai Media Office, this initiative is a part of Dubai’s Education 33 strategy. It aims to attract and retain educators while also strengthening the education sector in Dubai.

This includes academic qualifications, impact on educational quality, contributions to education & the wider community, feedback from parents & students, outstanding professional achievements, and contribution to improving student outcomes. It should be noted that this initiative is open to educators who were working in private early childhood centres, schools, and even higher education institutions in Dubai.
