It allows UAE residents an easy access to some of the most beautiful gems in southern Jordan, and heer’s all about it.
Royal Jordanian Airlines To Operate Flights Between Abu Dhabi & Aqaba
In a brilliant development, the airline has announced how it will be operating two weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Aqaba. It will add to the existing services that are between the UAE and Jordan. Royal Jordanian Airlines also operates nearly 40 direct flights within a week. This is between the two countries. Did you know there are 21 weekly flights between Dubai and Amman alone? There are seven of flights between Sharjah and Amman, and there are nine between Abu Dhabi and Amman
Easier Access To Southern Jordan
With the route, travellers get access to a new Aqaba route. This gives them an option to reach southern Jordan without having to travel through Amman. For those who don’t know, Aqaba is a part of Jordan’s golden triangle with Petra and Wadi Rum. It is one of the main tourism destinations in the Red Sea.
This new route was announced during an event in Dubai. Here, their ExploRJordan was also announced, which is a tourism campaign that covers destinations and experiences across the country.

Why Visit Aqaba?
For those who are wondering, Aqaba is a beautiful port city in Jordan. It is on the Gulf of Aqaba of the Red Sea and has been inhabited since 4,000 BC. It is home to the Islamic-era Aqaba Fort and has many resorts that are popular for windsurfing and other water sports activities. Moreover, it is the gateway to the Golden Triangle, as it is right next to the desert valley of Wadi Rum and quite close to the ancient city of Petra.
