Abu Dhabi’s most famous race track just added a reason to visit that has nothing to do with race weekends. Yas Verse, a new gaming and esports destination, has opened at Yas Central, and it’s being touted as the only gaming venue located at a Formula 1 circuit anywhere in the region.
Yas Marina Circuit Opens Yas Verse, A New Gaming Destination In Abu Dhabi
It brings console gaming, PC setups, retro arcade classics and social gaming together under one roof, spread across six dedicated zones. The Gaming Hub is the headline act. Expect high-performance gaming PCs and PlayStation 5 consoles running the latest titles for solo or multiplayer sessions. The Classic Zone leans into nostalgia with well-loved PC titles, while the Retro Zone goes further back with Nintendo Switch consoles, Sega classics, arcade machines and pinball.
For anyone wanting something more private, The Cave is Yas Verse’s only bookable space. It’s PS5 gaming, billiards, or the option to take over the whole room for a celebration or group session. There are also quick-hit Lobby Experiences, including Sonic Racing, for guests who just want to jump in for a few minutes, and a VIP Experience offering full access across every zone.
Why It’s Opening Now
Yas Marina Circuit’s General Manager, Ali Al Beshr, framed the launch as part of the venue’s push beyond motorsport. As per the press release, he described Yas Verse as a way to bring “the excitement of gaming with the energy” of the circuit and give visitors a reason to return outside race weekends. The move is turning a venue that’s historically been an F1 weekend destination into something with year-round pull.
