If you’re in Bahrain this week, you’re in for a real treat. Disney On Ice: Into the Magic just opened at Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir, and honestly? It’s pretty spectacular. The show started yesterday (August 12) and runs through the weekend until August 17.
Disney On Ice: Magic Comes To Bahrain This Summer

The whole thing starts when they dim the lights, and suddenly the ice transforms into this magical stage. You’ve got all the classics, Mickey and Minnie, Donald Duck and more Disney characters that literally built your childhood into a happy place. But then it gets really good when characters from the newer films show up. The Moana segment is absolutely mesmerising, and don’t even get me started on the Frozen part (yes, they do “Let It Go” and yes, everyone sings along).
Everything flows in smoothly. One minute you’re watching Cinderella’s story unfold, the next you’re transported to the colourful world of Coco.
Why This Matters For Bahrain
Bahrain has been working hard to put itself on the entertainment map, and events like this are exactly how you do it. The Tourism and Exhibitions Authority teamed up with Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre to bring this here, and it shows they’re serious about attracting world-class productions. Feld Entertainment are the company behind this show. With over 3,500 shows across 80 countries under their belt, the fact that they’ve chosen Bahrain as a stop speaks volumes about where the Kingdom is headed in the world of entertainment.
How To Get To The Venue
If you’re planning to go, here’s the deal: get there early. Parking’s not too bad, but giving yourself a bit of extra time will save you the stress. The venue’s easy enough to find, even if you’re cruising in from elsewhere in the Gulf. As for finding the venue, no worries, it’s a straight shot if you’re driving in from other parts of the Gulf.

Bottom Line
Is it worth going? Absolutely. Will your kids love it? Without question. Will you find yourself getting caught up in the magic despite being a grown adult? Probably more than we’d care to confess, right? Disney On Ice: Into the Magic is running until August 17, with several shows daily. It’s the kind of experience that makes you realise why, even in our screen-obsessed world, nothing can beat the magic of live entertainment. Plus, it’s nice to see Bahrain hosting something this special, feels like the country is really coming into its own as an entertainment destination.
