Eid al-Fitr is one of the most awaited holidays. And Dubai has now announced holidays for both the private and public sector employees. Although the day when Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated is yet to be announced. After all, Eid al-Fitr is confirmed only after crescent moon sighting.

Dubai Announces Eid Holidays For The Public Sector

As revealed in a report of the Gulf News, it was mentioned that government employees in Dubai will get four days of holiday for Eid al-Fitr. So, work will be suspended from Thursday, March 19th. This is according to the Dubai Government Human Resources Department. Through the four-day holiday, there would be traditional observation of the holiday, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

What About The Private Sector?

This comes after the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources had previously confirmed that all the federal ministries, institutions, and public sector entities will be observing a holiday from March 19th to 22nd. So, officially, it will begin working hours from March 23rd.

Coming to the private sector, the holiday will begin from March 19th to 21st. However, the authorities have also confirmed that if Ramadan lasts for 30 days, the private sector holiday will be extended so that March 22nd is also included.

Eid Is Just A Few Days Away

So, with the announcement of these holidays, people can now start making plans for Eid al-Fitr. Although there are many other factors, especially those relating to regional tensions that may cast some uncertainty, it is important to remember that the festival, which celebrates kindness and charity, is also finally here after a year of waiting.
