As the nation celebrates the UAE National Day, Dubai has unveiled a large-scale ground installation. The ground artwork features a joint portrait of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. This was created as a part of this year’s UAE National Month celebrations. Here’s all you need to know about the giant ground artwork that was recently unveiled.
Dubai Unveils An Impressive 82 Metre Ground Artwork
Recently, Dubai unveiled an impressive 82 metre in diameter ground artwork. This has been crafted using multicoloured gravels and showcases the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. The founding fathers have been featured in the portrait and its position at the roundabout. This is right opposite the Dubai Frame near the Sheikh Zayed Road and Zabeel Park. With the artwork designed to be viewed from above, it forms a fantastic tribute to the nation’s founding fathers.

The artwork has been developed by the brand Dubai, which is the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office. They collaborated with Dubai Municipality to support the second edition of the Zayed and Rashid Campaign. This was launched under the directives of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. For those wondering he is the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council.

In case you’re wondering about the location, it has been installed at a chosen spot opposite the Dubai Frame to symbolise the connection between the past achievements and the current progress of the country. Celebrating the legacy of vision and service, the initiative honours of wisdom, generosity, and ambition of the two leaders. The community has been asked to reflect on the principles that guided the early development of the nation!
