Dubai International Airport is undoubtedly one of the busiest airports in the world. And it recently recorded its busiest days in history. Yes, more than 3,24,000 passengers passed through the airport on January 3rd, and this was closely followed by 3,22,000 on January 4th. Here’s all about this development!
DXB Logs Busiest Travel Days In January
As recently revealed in a report of the Gulf News, the Dubai International Airport logged its busiest days in history. With more than 3,00,000 passengers passing through the airport on January 3rd and 4th, it shows the scale of the post-holiday travel rush. After all, residents, tourists and transit passengers are moving through the world’s busiest international airport through the peak New Year period.
3,00,000 Passengers Moved Through The Airport
This development is hardly surprising as the forecast previously predicted that DXB is going to welcome about 3.4 million passengers between January 1st and 11th. As such, the daily traffic would consistently exceed 3,00,000 travellers as revealed in the forecast. However, despite the airport logging record-breaking volumes, it continues to firmly focus on passenger comfort and efficiency.
Additionally, travellers who are yet to depart from the UAE have been advised to arrive at the airport at least four hours before departure. Not to mention, they have also been advised to use other efficient modes such as remote check-in options, Emirates city check-in, or even home check-in service in Dubai and Sharjah, in order to avoid queues.

This Is A Post-Holiday Period
Moreover, it was just the previous week when Emirates, which is the flag carrier of Dubai, warned that the post-holiday period would see busy arrival halls, long immigration queues and increased road traffic. So, passengers were advised to arrive at the airport at least four hours before departure, make use of the remote check-in option, or even offer home check-in service in order to avoid these long queues.
