1. Etihad Airways Warns Travellers Of Scam
As revealed in a report of the Gulf News, it was mentioned that Etihad Airways has warned travellers to beware of impostors. They have warned against fake social media accounts that impersonate the airline, and are contacting them online. And the company has also cautioned against these accounts that may try to obtain personal information.
2. ICP Announces Fee Waivers
ICP has announced a fine waiver for individuals who are impacted by airspace closures. Yes, the list of beneficiaries include departure public holders that exceeding a certain amount of the grace period, tourist or visit visa holders whose duration of stay has expired and holders of cancelled residency permits whose departures were hindered after cancellation/
3. Limited Operations Resume At Zayed International Airport
Zayed International Airport has revealed that limited flight operations have resumed. So, as authorities coordinate a wide support network for thousands, authorities have confirmed that operations have restarted. This has been done in close coordination with the Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre in Abu Dhabi.
4. Qatar Airways Issues Advisory For Travellers
In its latest advisory, Qatar Airways has mentioned that those with bookings with the airline from February 28th to March 15th are eligible for a free date change. Yes, the airline allows for complimentary date changes of up to 14 days, but this must be from the original date of travel. Additionally, they can also opt for a refund of the unused value of their ticket.
5. KHDA Announces Spring Break For Students In Dubai

The KHDA has announced the dates for Spring Break for students. Yes, this is for the teaching and administrative staff in all private educational institutions in Dubai. The Spring Break begins on Monday, March 9th, and it will last until Sunday, March 22nd.

6. Oman Airports Issues Advisory
Oman Airports, in its advisory, has mentioned that the Muscat International Airport, Sohar Airport and Salalah Airport are functioning at full capacity. It is supporting airlines as it is one of the few airports that is functioning at full capacity in the region.
7. Volunteers contribute 45000+ Hours During First Half Of Ramadan
As revealed in a report of the Arab News, several volunteers have participated in the Umrah service camp. These were supervised by the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association at the Grand Mosque. As such, more than 45,000 hours have been contributed during the first half of the holy month. In fact, 600 young men and women scouts participate in the camp’s activities.
8. Hail Municipality Intensifies Field Inspection
Arab News, in its report, mentioned that the Hail Municipality has intensified the field inspection. These are for food establishments and commercial markets that are throughout the city. In fact, it is to enhance food safety and to raise compliance with health and municipal regulations.
9. Gulf Air Repatriates 400 Passengers
The Bahrain-based airline has confirmed that it has repatriated 400 transit passengers. In fact, it would help transit passengers who have been affected by the airspace closures. It aims to ensure that affected passengers receive on-ground assistance. These include everything from accommodation and meals to regular travel updates.
10. Qatar Airways Extends Flight Suspension

Qatar Airways, in its latest update, has extended the suspension of flights. The airline mentions that it will resume flights once the airspace is safe to reopen. It further mentions that an update would come on March 7th, 9 AM Doha time. So, those passengers who are affected will be contacted directly by the airline.
