If the words “free workout” make you stop scrolling, this one’s for you. Abu Dhabi residents can now turn a world-famous Formula 1® track into their personal fitness ground, thanks to TrainYAS at Yas Marina Circuit.
A Formula 1 Track That Doubles As Your Workout Zone
According to a report by the website of Yas Marina Circuit, the popular TrainYAS programme invites people of all ages and fitness levels to run, walk, or cycle on the track several evenings a week. No gym fees, just fresh air and open space.
What Is TrainYAS And Who Is It For?
Abu Dhabi Sports Council presents TrainYas. It is designed to make fitness accessible to residents. You don’t need to be a seasoned runner or a hardcore cyclist, just show up.
Whether you want to jog solo, walk with family at sunset, or cycle a few relaxed laps, the circuit welcomes everyone. You can bring kids, too.
How The Track Sessions Work
The experience stays organised and safe. Walkers and runners move clockwise around the track, while cyclists ride anti-clockwise. This setup keeps traffic flowing smoothly and avoids confusion.
Sessions run every Monday and Wednesday, with track access opening at 6 pm and activities wrapping up by 10 pm. Entry for walkers and runners closes at 9.30 pm, while cyclists must enter by 9.45 pm.
Free Bikes, Helmets, And Zero Hassle
No bike? No problem. Abu Dhabi Cycling Club and Yas Marina provide complimentary bikes at the ComYas Village. It comes in both adult and child sizes. Helmets are also provided, though availability is limited.
Participants can bring their own helmets if they prefer. Bike and helmet sharing is not allowed, and everything gets cleaned and sanitised after each session.
