1. Qatar Airways Resumes Flights
Qatar Airways, the flag carrier of Qatar, has announced that it will resume daily operations between Doha and Philadelphia. It wil resume from August 1st, which would restore the direct route to the largest city in Pennsylvania. This expands its network to 14 destinations in North America. It should be noted that this service would be operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
2. Second Edition Of UAE Games 2026 Concludes
Abu Dhabi saw the conclusion of the second edition of the UAE Games 2026. This happened after several days of sports competitions and community activities. The event brought together over 1,000 athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They were all from across the UAE.
3. Jeddah Waterfront Rehabilitation Project Enters Second Phase
The historic Jeddah Waterfront Rehabilitation Project in Saudi Arabia has entered the second phase. Yes, construction is underway on the 972-m marine quay. As it happens, it is a part of the wider effort to restore the Al Arbaeen Lagoon. This project is one of a series of landmark developments enhancing the cultural heritage of the area.
4. Sheikh Zayed Meets Emirati Mountaineer
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, met Emirati mountaineer Fatima Abdulrahman Al Awadhi. The latter became the youngest Arab woman to climb Mount Vinson. For those who are unaware, it is the highest peak in Antarctica. Did you know she is also the youngest Emirati to scale Mount Elbrus, the highest mountain in Europe?

5. flydubai Announces Daily Flights To Pokhara International Airport

flydubai is a budget airline based in Dubai. And the airline has announced new daily flights to Pokhara International Airport. This makes for the second destination in Nepal to be serviced by the airline. The flights would depart from September 23rd from Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport.
