UAE Weather: Fog & Mist To Cover Parts Of The Country As Temperatures Rise; Details Inside

It is expected that fog and mist may affect parts of the UAE till Thursday. This comes as temperatures are set to rise, as revealed by the National Centre of Meteorology. With the UAE weather affecting not just the temperature, but the traffic, here’s all you need to know about this development. You will want to know, especially if you are someone who is on the road early in the morning.

NCM Reveals UAE Weather Forecast For The Week

Forecasting the UAE weather for the week, the NCM mentions how it would be fair to be partly cloudy at times. It is expected that humid conditions may remain overnight and might extend until Tuesday morning. So, there could be a chance of fog or mist in coastal and inland areas. It is also expected that the wind will blow north-westerly to south-westerly, which could reach 30 km/h. Sea is also expected to be in slight in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

For Tuesday, it is expected that there may be fair to partly cloudy conditions. However, there could be a rise in temperatures, and humidity is expected overnight. Winds are expected to blow from south-easterly to north-easterly with it remaining light to moderate. Seas are also expected to remain in slight.

Foggy Conditions To Prevail

However, come Wednesday, there may be fair to partly cloudy skies with humid conditions prevailing until the morning of Thursday. There could also be chances of fog in coastal and inland areas. Moreover, winds are expected to be out easterly as they may turn north, and there are even similar conditions that are forecast for Thursday.

The National News, in its report, has mentioned how motorists have therefore been asked to take extra care while on the road. They have been asked to be careful as early morning fog is expected to blanket the area in the coming days. These foggy conditions are expected to persist until Thursday, and the forecast comes as dense fogs shrouded skies in Abu Dhabi and Dubai over the past two weeks.

Traffic Affected Early Morning

As it happens, Abu Dhabi Police has reduced speed limits to 80 km/h on the roads of the emirate due to the adverse weather. Temporary speed limits have also been posted on the electronic road signs. Drivers, as a result, will face a fine if they fail to abide by the reduced speed limit. Moreover, commuting across Dubai and the northern Emirates had also been severely disrupted on Monday morning. This happened due to a series of accidents and a heavy peak, as congestion coincided with challenging weather conditions.

So, more have asked to exercise extra caution while stepping out on the roads.
