As recently revealed by the Saudi Press Agency, the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has introduced a new initiative. Yes, they have introduced a new child safety initiative, which issues identification bracelets for children on their arrival. This is to ensure that children who were separated from their parents in the crowd can easily be reunited with them.

Child Safety Bracelet Introduced At Grand Mosque

With the aim of boosting children’s safety, a new child safety bracelet has been introduced in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The identification bracelets are issued when the child arrives. These bracelets include the contact details for the guardian, so that they can be quickly identified and reunited in case the child is lost or separated.

A part of an integrated system for enhancing visitors’ safety, this initiative is bound to make life easier for children and their parents. Not to mention, it also aims to support the staff in managing emergencies efficiently within the complex of the mosque and its courtyard.

Where Are These Available?

It should be noted that these identification bracelets are available at key entry points. Yes, these entry points include King Abdulaziz Gate and King Fahd Gate (Gate Number 79). They have dedicated personnel who will assist the guardians and parents in registering their contact information smoothly. As a result, all guardians (and parents) can take advantage of the service, especially during the peak visitor period of the Umrah Season and the Hajj pilgrimage.
