Recently, Saudi Arabia and Russia signed a visa waiver agreement. According to this agreement, citizens can enter visa-free for a limited period of time. This agreement was signed on Monday, December 1st, and was revealed in a report of the Saudi Press Agency.
Saudi Arabia & Russia Sign Mutual Visa Agreement
Arab News, in its report, has mentioned that this occurred on the sidelines of the Saudi-Russian Investment and Business Forum, which took place in Riyadh. During the forum, the two nations signed a mutual visa waiver agreement. Basically, this agreement now allows passport-holding citizens of both countries to travel visa-free for tourism, business, and family visits. As it happens, the exemption is for stays of up to 90 days, which could either be consecutive or cumulative within a single calendar year.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that this agreement was signed by Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. Additionally, this agreement reflects the commitment of both countries to facilitate travel and promote closer people-to-people engagement.
Not to mention, Russia has become the first country with which Saudi Arabia has signed a mutual visa agreement. One, which includes holders of even an ordinary passport. It should be noted that the agreement reflects the commitment of both countries to facilitate entry procedures and to boost reciprocal visits while strengthening cooperation in tourism, economic, and cultural fields.
