What Is The Domestic Worker Visa Inquiry Service That Was Recently Launched By Kuwait?

Recently, Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior announced that it has launched a new digital service. This was on the government unified Sahel application. With the launch of the application, citizens and residents would be allowed to verify the status of the domestic worker visas before they are initiated for recruitment procedures. Here’s all you need to know about this visa-related development that just makes life easier.

New Tool Launched For Checking Domestic Worker Visa Status

As announced by the Ministry of Interior in Kuwait, this new tool now allows users to check whether the visas for the same worker have already been issued. With this check, there will be reduced duplication and the prevention of the potential rejection of applications.

Not to mention, Gulf News also mentioned in its report that there will be a more streamlined recruitment. With the introduction of the tool, there will be improved transparency and reduced administrative inefficiencies. This will be especially true in the sector, which remains a sensitive issue in Kuwait.

This development comes at a time when, recently, the Supreme Committee for the Investigation of Kuwaiti Citizenship announced that citizenship would be revoked in several cases. These decisions have been carried out in the higher interest of the country, and the cases would be submitted to the cabinet for final approval. A recurring feature of Kuwait’s domestic politics happens to be citizenship withdrawal. These developments come just at a time when freelancing work for 120 professions is now limited to just Kuwait citizens.

Additionally, the Kuwaiti Municipality also reaffirmed how it would be stepping up monitoring of advertising licenses across the government. In fact, 32 shops were inspected on Thursday, September 18. Out of these, nine were fined for failing to renew licenses or for operating unlicensed advertisements.

So, with the launch of this new tool, checking visa statuses just got a lot easier.
