The normal lives of the people in Rajasthan have come to a standstill as the monsoon wreaks havoc in many parts of the state. Since the weekend, these parts have been facing catastrophe because of extremely heavy rainfall. About 14 districts got lashed because of the same. Mount Abu, Rajasthan’s hill station, received the highest rainfall in 24 hours.
Extremely Heavy Rainfall in Rajasthan
The Western Himalayan region saw the majority of the damage, but even central and western regions like Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are suffering from the system’s extreme weather. Numerous low-lying locations, including roads, train tracks, and even a hospital, were soaked by the heavy rains on Monday.
After the weekend’s rainstorm, substantial portions of Sikar and Ajmer were still under water, greatly affecting traffic.
The MeT department said that Mount Abu saw unusually severe rainfall. At the same time, rain fell on Abu Road in Sirohi, 137 mm in Ajmer, 128 mm in Baniwas in Pali, and 120 mm in Masalpur in Karauli. In contrast, Tonk had 98 mm of rain through Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. Sambhar in Jaipur and Bagoda in Jalore each received 99 mm of rain. (As per Money Control)

Yellow Alert To Eastern Part
After a seven-year-old perished in the capital’s overflowing drain on Monday, the situation in Jaipur became even more terrible. Additionally, flooding invaded the city’s SMS hospital, causing medical services to be interrupted and forcing patients and medical staff to wade through the flooded cancer ward of the facility.
As per The Weather Channel, heavy to very heavy showers (64.5 mm–204.5 mm) are expected to continue over East Rajasthan till Saturday, July 15.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that during this prediction period, mild to moderate rainfall may also fall in most of the state’s eastern regions. Up until Saturday, East Rajasthan will continue to be under yellow watch, which means “be updated.”
