Failed To Stop After A Traffic Accident Will Lead To A Fine Of Dh20000
Any driver who causes or is at fault in a traffic collision that results in injury to others but fails to stop without a valid reason may face a jail term or a fine of Dh20000. Article 49, Clause 5, of Federal Law No. 21 of 1995 governing traffic contains specifics on the offence. In addition, the police have sponsored traffic advertisements and PSAs at various venues to inform drivers about hit-and-run traffic offences.

Things That You Can Do After An Accident
The first and foremost thing you can do after an accident is that call 901 or use the police app to report the collision/accident. You must contact 999 to get an ambulance if you have a significant injury. The Police Report is something to look into in the case of an accident.
Without it, you risk getting into many legal and financial difficulties. In addition, any repairs that are made without a police record are prohibited. Within 24 hours of finishing the procedure on the app, reports for accidents filed using the Dubai Police app are distributed by SMS to all parties involved.
As soon as you can, get in touch with your car insurance provider and let them know you were in a car accident. Make sure any accident-related paperwork is accessible, as well. In general, your insurer must dispatch a recovery truck to tow your automobile to the closest licenced garage if the vehicle has received significant damage and is unfit to drive.
