On August 17, 2021, Aanchal Gupta, a pani puri seller from Bhopal distributed free pani puri worth ₹50,000 to celebrate the birth of his daughter. Aanchal always prayed for a baby girl, the father was over the moon to be blessed with a daughter. One year later, the proud father celebrated his beloved daughter’s first birthday by offering 1.01 lakh free pani puri. Here’s his story.
Free Pani Puri To Celebrate Baby Girl’s First B’Day
Aanchal Gupta set up 21 stalls under a large tent in Bhopal’s Banjari Maidan to distribute free pani puri as part of his daughter’s first birthday celebrations. The pani puri vendor offered 1.01 lakh pani puris with the message ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’. Aanchal is a pani puri seller from Kolar in Madhya Pradesh’s capital, Bhopal.

Madhya Pradesh CM Hails This Move
It was his daughter, Anokhi’s first birthday, and the father didn’t mind the cost. Instead, he wanted to spread a message about the importance of educating the girl child. In fact MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself tweeted, praising the pani puri vendor’s move. Also, local MLA Rameshwar Sharma attended the grand birthday event.
