According to Mid-Day, 17 key stations in Mumbai will soon get elevated mega decks to ease crowd movement and accommodate the rising commuter numbers. These decks will, reportedly, also house amenities and commercial stalls, all the while easing congestion at the platform level. The transformation will be spearheaded by the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) under the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP-3A). The completion of these elevated decks is expected to be completed between 2025 and 2027.
