The online toll collection system, FASTag, is spreading its wings in the Mumbai airport parking space. The CSMIA, or Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, has upgraded its method of collecting parking charges. This applies to everyone who comes to the airport. Here are the rules and regulations you need to follow if you want to avail yourself of this FASTag system at Terminal 2.
FASTag At Mumbai International Airport Parking
Mumbai International Airport has upgraded the Multilevel Car Parking with the help of an online payment system. This will ensure quick and easy movement for people who use the parking area. The use of online transactions will reduce time, and people can access the parking efficiently. Generally, there is a queue of vehicles at the entry and exit of Terminal 2. This will ensure seamless movements at the terminal.
The Do’s And Don’ts To Keep In Mind
The important thing to remember while using FASTag is that there should be sufficient balance. Moreover, the account should be active. There will be a standard payment rate with no additional cost. Further, there will be a designated lane for FASTag travellers. Also, they will use the same lane for entry and exit.
The travellers will approach entrance P5 after entering the T2 premise and take the designated lane. Once the controller reads the valid tag affixed to the windscreen of the vehicle, the gate will open, allowing the vehicle to move. While exiting, follow the same method, except parking fees charges will deduct automatically, and the vehicle can exit.
Mumbai International Airport updates its system regularly so you can experience a smooth functioning system.
