According to a News18 report, Mumbai Police has issued a traffic advisory which includes road diversions, parking restrictions and traffic restrictions on April 1 and April 7. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Mumbai Traffic Police shared pictures of the advisory. Supplementing it with a caption asking Mujmbaikars if they were watching the IPL matches live at Wankhede. The Police stated they could help Mumbaikars reach the stadium on time on April 1 and 7. The police urged matchgoers to use public transport due to the lack of parking spots at the stadium.

On April 1, Mumbai Indians will battle it out with the Rajasthan Royals. And on April 7, Mumbai Indians will play a match against Delhi Capitals. Both these matches will be held at Wankhede Stadium. According to the advisory issued by the Mumbai traffic police, only emergency vehicles will be permitted on the two days between 12 pm and 11:55 pm. All other vehicles will be prohibited. Due to the absence of parking facilities at the stadium, spectators were advised to use public transport.

Mumbai Routes Diversions
Here are traffic diversions you must keep in mind for the two days.
- For all types of vehicular traffic, “E” Road shall be One Way (South Bound) form the ‘D’ road junction towards its junction with ‘C’ road.
- ‘D’ Road will be a one-way road (from West to East) from its junction at N.S. Road (Marine Drive) and towards junctions ‘C’ & ‘E’ Road
- ‘F’ Road will also be a one-way road (from West to East) from its junction of E Cross Road towards junction of of N.S. Road (Marine Drive)
Advisory For Match Goers
- People with tickets for Gate Numbers 01, 02 & 07 of Wankhede Stadium shall leave Churchgate station and walk towards ‘D’ road
- Those with tickets for Gate Number o3 will alight at Churchgate station and head towards N.S. Road footpath.
- Matchgoers with tickets of Gate Number 04 and 05A will leave Marine Lines station and head towards ‘F’ Road
- All spectators heading to Wankhede Stadium via N.S. Road (marine drive) must walk on the footpath, not on the road.
Matchgoers coming in private vehicles and cars must alight at designated points marked on N.S. Road.
