Mumbai-Visakhapatnam IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing In Hyderabad Due To Technical Issues

A Visakhapatnam-bound IndiGo flight from Mumbai encountered a technical issue, leading to an emergency landing in Hyderabad. On January 4, the flight faced a technical glitch mid-air and was immediately rerouted to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. It had 144 passengers on board and they all safely deplaned without any injuries.

IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing In Hyderabad

On Saturday morning, an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Visakhapatnam faced a technical glitch that resulted in the pilot making an emergency landing in Hyderabad. According to Hyderabad Mail, the pilot detected an issue in the plane. He promptly decided to divert the aircraft to Hyderabad.

They were able to successfully land the aircraft without an incident, much to the relief of the 144 passengers on board. Reportedly, the situation left passengers on edge but they were thankful for the crew’s quick response. IndiGo has confirmed that its BOMVTZ flight from Mumbai to Visakhapatnam was rerouted due to a technical glitch.

Probe Underway To Know More About The Cause Of Technical Glitch

IndiGo has, reportedly, launched an investigation to know more about the cause of the aircraft technical failure that prompted its emergency landing. This incident has raised concerns. Especially keeping in mind the rise in recent aeroplane accidents globally, most of which have been attributed to various factors including technical issues.

The Jeju Air crash in South Korea was the worst aviation accident reported in recent years. The aircraft tragically crashed upon landing at Muan International Airport and caught fire. The aircraft was carrying 175 passengers and six crew members and only two crew members survived the fatal crash.
