Piyush Mishra Hasn’t Lost His Temper In Over 15 Years; Here’s Why!

Guess what? We’re back with another exciting Sunday Brunch episode, and this time, we sat down for a wholesome, home-cooked meal with the multi-talented Piyush Mishra. He is known for being an amazing painter, actor, music director, and poet. For the brunch, the actor invited us to his Mumbai home and treated us to a delightful meal. We had a deep conversation with him, and he made a surprising revelation—that he hasn’t been angry in 15 years. Read on to know why.

Piyush Mishra Reveals Why He Doesn’t Get Angry

Kamiya Jani asked Piyush Mishra what makes him happiest and what makes him angry. That’s when the actor made a surprising revelation — he hasn’t been angry in over 15 years. When Kamiya turned to his son and asked whether he had ever seen his father angry, he simply shook his head. Piyush further shared that while he did get angry as a child, everything changed once he began practising Vipassana.

The acclaimed actor revealed that he started practising Vipassana 15 years ago, and its impact can clearly be seen in his behaviour. Kamiya was surprised to learn about its strong effect as well. When asked how he reacts to things not going his way, he said he simply accepts them. “Acceptance is a big thing,” he explained. According to him, we must accept people we don’t like, difficult situations, and even death. Death will come sooner or later, and accepting it is important. Embracing acceptance, he believes, plays a crucial role in life.

What Was On The Menu?

For this Sunday Brunch, we enjoyed a traditional South Indian meal. Piyush Mishra’s wife, Priya, served the food on a banana leaf. We were served salt, pickle, raw banana, grated carrot salad, aloo sabzi, pumpkin raita, chicken, sambar, rice topped with ghee, paratha, papad, and chillies. The dishes were inspired by Chettinad cuisine.

While serving, Priya revealed that Piyush is a very simple eater. He enjoys his sambar rice and aloo sabzi the most. The duo started with sambar rice and savoured it along with the other dishes, making it a delightful brunch experience.
