CT Review: I Visited The Supper Club Mumbai In Lokhandwala & Instantly Felt Home!

Growing up in a nuclear family, I have always craved a long dining table filled with close relatives and friends. Only festivals and special occasions would bring us all together. So when I got introduced to the concept of Supper Clubs, my face instantly brightened up. Although sharing meals with strangers could be intimidating, at the same time, you could end up meeting people who later become your friends, all by just sharing a meal at the same table. Thanks to The Supper Club by Rajshri Gupta, I actually got to live this experience here in Mumbai.

I realised it wasn’t really about the food. It was about that familiar chaos of passing dishes around, overhearing conversations that slowly pull you in, and feeling like you belong somewhere, even if just for one evening. Supper clubs felt like a modern-day version of those rare family dinners I grew up waiting for.

Supper Clubs are intimate, community-driven dining experiences where the table is shared, conversations flow freely, and the food arrives course by course. You can walk in with friends, family, or no one at all, and still leave feeling like you were part of something warm and familiar, thanks to the thoughtfully curated meals by the host.

Transforming her old home into a supper club destination, you instantly feel at home the moment you arrive. From vintage pieces to modern elements, everything feels aesthetic and nostalgic. The checkered glass ceiling under which you would dine remains my favourite corner. The vibe feels grand yet grounded at the same time.

What truly elevates the experience, though, is Rajshri herself. She introduces each dish with quiet confidence, sharing just enough context to make you appreciate what’s on your plate without turning it into a lecture. It feels less like dining out and more like being invited into someone’s home who genuinely loves feeding people.

While every dish had its own personality, a few truly stood out. The coastal jackfruit surprised me with how delicately bold it was. And the simple dessert made with coconut milk and fresh fruits was something I would go back for!

Would I Recommend Visiting This Supper Club In Mumbai?

If you’ve been craving a dining experience that goes beyond just good food, this supper table is worth showing up for. Seats are limited, the atmosphere is intimate, and the kind of conversations that unfold here are rare. Rajshri announces her slots on Instagram via TheSupperClub, and trust me, this is one table you’ll want a seat at before it fills up.
